The Chilean Guava has finally given…

Well, it goes without saying, I am a patient lass.  I went to the Edible Garden show about three years ago where I met James Wong.  Yes, that James Wong whom should have been my little brother by rights but anyway…

My Little Brother. (No, I am not stalking, just mad).

He convinced me to buy a Chilean Guava, a Camilia Sinensis (or PG Tips to everyone else) and a Tree Chilli.

My Tree Chilli took over the conservatory with not a mere morsel of a fruiting body to do a salsa with.  The camilia was rather better and I did actually physically manage to brew at least some tea from the tips for a good year or so but then I moved the pot near to my woman shed (Fortress of Forthitude) and then someone put a trampoline up and then…

So, finally. Finally.  When I thought the little pot in which I’d put the Chilean Guava had disappeared under a column of cat shit, I honestly did not think anything could have saved it.  Until TODAY.  This very day, when I went past the Agapanthus that Wini-bone-crusher gave me one birthday, I noticed a new tone, a pink!  There were exactly 12 berries.

Delicious. It is like a cross between a blueberry, roses, vanilla and a cupcake. All these things all in one berry.
